Windsor Area Guide

Historic Windsor lies on the banks of the River Thames and, with its iconic Castle, for many, it needs no introduction.

Home to successive monarchs for the last 1000 years, its site provides the world's oldest and largest occupied castle. Based just yards from the Castle walls, Kings' Windsor office also serves Eton, Ascot, Datchet and Slough properties.

Whether you are a young professional or have a growing family the town facilities are multifaceted, offering a variety of excellent private and state schools, world class sports facilities such as Dorney Lake (host to 2012 Olympic rowing), renowned restaurants and bars, and a diverse range of shops.  Apart from the lovely Thames reaches, the area is also home to world famous Royal Ascot races, International Polo, Eton College, Legoland, The Royal Windsor Horse Show and the beautiful Windsor Great Park (which is open to all for walking and cycling).

Nearby, Slough is an important commercial centre servicing the whole of the country, and has many international affiliations. A number of globally renowned corporations have their headquarters in Slough, including - Reckitt Benckiser, Lego, Black & Decker, Honda, Telefonica, Flat, Hytera, LG, CA Technologies and very many more. Combined with its London-fringe location and access to fast commuter links, has resulted in it becoming one of the fastest growing private rental locations in the UK. Close proximity to Heathrow airport* is another bonus to local business and world travelers.

With over one million visitors to the Windsor area last year, renting a home in, or near, the 'Royal Borough' is an appealing outer London option, and being situated less than three hours to over 60% of the entire UK population.
